World Cup Fever

Following the success of the new Changing Places toilet at the Emirates Stadium we are delighted to announce that our campaign sponsors Aveso have now installed a new Changing Places at Brighton and Hove Albion FC. As the World Cup begins in Brazil we look forward to more football clubs improving their accessibility for all by including Changing Places at their venues. A real result! Football is for everyone, disabilism needs to be given a red card

Football fans all over the globe will be cheering on their teams when the World Cup starts in Brazil this week. There’s nothing like the excitement of seeing your team play live, but if you have a disability, accessibility at football grounds, the price of tickets, and not enough seats for fans who are in wheelchairs can make supporting your club a difficult or impossible experience.
Mencap’s own panel of football pundits are giving their verdict on what football clubs need to do to make watching the beautiful game an accessible experience for all – and their tips for who will win this the 2014 World Cup. The official sponsor of the Changing Places campaign is Aveso Ltd.  Aveso hope that its support for the campaign will help it achieve its target of 1000 registered Changing Places toilets within the next three years.
